Embracing St. Andrew’s Day

Today, Hoar Cross Care Home commemorated the spirit of Scotland on St. Andrew’s Day with a delightful celebration. Residents and staff engaged in a lively Scottish quiz, testing their knowledge of Scottish culture, history, and traditions.

To elevate the festive mood, a traditional Scottish port tipple was enjoyed alongside delectable servings of authentic Scottish shortbread, adding a touch of Scottish culinary delight to the day’s festivities.

Amidst the quiz and tasty treats, preparations for the holiday season continued as more Christmas decorations adorned our home, adding sparkle and warmth to every corner.

The joyous celebration brought together the community in a fusion of Scottish heritage and Christmas cheer, creating wonderful memories for all.
