Gourmet food tasting

Residents were treated to a fantastic gourmet food tasting event when specialist care home caterer, Apetito, came to the home to demonstrate the wide selection of delicious cooked food they offer.

We enjoyed delights such as premium roast beef, smoked haddock and spinach crumble and chicken and leek pie with accompaniments including West Country cheddar mash, red cabbage with apple and port and minted seasonal vegetables. All very yummy!

Survey results showed that 92% of those surveyed rated the food good or very good and an overwhelming 94% of respondents would be happy to have Apetito as a choice on the menu. We all had a great time sampling the alternative offering which was delicious and everyone was very full at the end! Thanks to lovely visiting chef Dean and to everyone who attended.
