This year was the 100th Anniversary of the Unknown Warrior being brought from France to be laid to rest in Westminster Abbey.
Despite the restrictions of Coronavirus there was still a need to takepart in our own remembrance service here at Hoar Cross and it felt important that we continue this tradition.
Our local vicar, Father Graham was not able to attend, so the service was led by Activity Coordinator, Margaret Rowe.
Resident, Joyce Cadie read the gospel and resident Brian George recited the poem, ‘In Flanders Fields’.
It was seen as an opportunity not only for us to remember the fallen, but also our own loved ones in a moving and prayerful time spent together.
